The partner company of OMVE Netherlands B.V. ,IXL-innovation, has been Nominated by the Food Valley Awards 2011 with the Nutri-Pulse e-Cooker. Nutri-Pulse e-Cooker, the ideal way to prepare food People have been cooking since time immemorial. Which is logical. The cooking process renders lots of vegetables and meat edible, digestible and makes healthy nutrients more readily available to the human body. The disadvantage of traditional cooking is the protracted exposure of food to high temperatures. This means plenty of essential nutrients can go to waste. IXL Netherlands developed the Nutri-Pulse? e-Cooker. With the aid of short electrical pulses (Pulsed Electric Field technology), food can be prepared in an exceedingly short time and at low temperature, with minimal effect on proteins, vitamins, antioxidants, sugars and other healthy substances. This ideal way of preparing food entails other benefits too. “Consider saving energy, limiting food waste, uniform heating and safety in use, because you can't burn your hands on the pan”, says Govert van Oord, Managing Director IXL Netherlands. IXL is founded as a spin-off from OMVE Netherlands to introduce novel process technologies into the food industry to improve the quality of food.
